For most of my life I have walked with the Lord. That is not to say that the path I have walked has been perfectly straight. Just like everyone else, I have experienced hurt, confusion, disappointment, questions, doubts, anxiety, anger and even wandering. I am fortunate in that, even in spite of those real experiences, I have always found the arms of the Lord open and welcoming.
My academic background is solidly Christian and strongly rooted in the Reformed tradition. My life and ministry has been formed and guided by the holy Word of God and allowing that Word to dwell in me richly, tenderly forming my heart. During one of the most difficult times I ever faced in ministry, I found great comfort and consolation in some of the rich, timeless mystical aspects of our faith, which I was introduced to through various people in the Catholic Church. I discovered a deep love and reverence for the voice of God as it comes to our hearts in Holy Scripture. My experience was deep and it not only formed my spirit, but it brought me life.
